by Alexander Gustav von Schrenck (1816 - 1876)

Drüben in Fensterleins
Language: German (Deutsch)
Drüben in Fensterleins
Goldigem Licht
Blüht eines Mägdeleins
Blumengesicht.

Seit ich hineingeschaut,
Läßt mir's nicht Ruh,
Grüßt mich holdselig traut,
Lächelt mir zu:

"Knabe, im Herzen dein
Hältst du treu Haus,
Zieh ich wohl balde ein
Und nicht mehr aus!"

Klang's wie ein Frühlingslied
Hell mir in's Ohr;
Wo Ros' und Flieder blüht
Treu' ich ihr schwor.

Frug gelt ein Pfäfflein bald:
"Wollt ihr euch frein?"
Wir aber lächeln halt:
"Warum denn nein?"
