Komm an mein Herz, wenn dich der Sturm umtobt,
Komm an mein Herz, und ruh dich aus vom Tage;
Das stand in Wettern und ist sturmerprobt,
Komm an mein Herz und lausche seinem Schlage.

Das zagt nicht mehr: sein Weg war ungesternt,
Und keine Sonnen, die ihm Strahlen streuten,
Hat es gekannt. Und trutzig hat's gelernt,
Sich selber seinen Feiertag zu läuten.
