by Heinrich Stieglitz (1801 - 1849)

Die Blutrache
Language: German (Deutsch)
Nun auf! zum Mahle,
Ihr Zeltgenossen!
Denn lautlos liegt er,
Der Turan schlug.

Am Quell gelagert
Ich fand ihn schlummernd,
Zum Kampfe weckt' ihn
Mein scharfer Ruf.

Hussah, wie stürzt' ihn
Zur Ruh die Lanze!
Nun weckt ihn nimmer
Der Morgenruf.

Auf, ihr Genossen,
Zu Jussufs Mahle!
Denn lautlos liegt er,
Der Turan schlug.
