Die Thräne quillt
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Träne quillt, wenn ich an dich,
Glück meiner Kindheit, denke,
in deine Lust und Unschuld mich
wehmütig still versenke.

Die Träne quillt, gedenk ich dein,
du gold'ne Zeit der Liebe;
mir ist, als ob nur Traum und Schein
von deinem Glanz mir bliebe.

Die Träne quillt, schau' ich empor
in ungemess'ne Ferne,
zu finden, die ich hier verlor,
im weiten Reich der Sterne.

Die Träne quillt, wenn ich nach dir,
zurück nach dir mich sehne;
o kehre heim, bist du bei mir,
quillt nur die Freudenträne.
