Terceiro motivo da rosa
Language: Portuguese (Português)
Se Omar chegasse esta manhã
Como veria a tua face.
Omar Khayyam,
Tu, que és do vinho,
E de romã,
E, por orvalho e por espinho,
Aço de espada de Aldelarã?
Se Omar e visse esta manhã,
Talvez sorvesse com meiguice
Teu chiro de mel e maçã.
Talvez em suas mãoos morenas
Te tomasse, e dissesse apenas:
"É curta a vida, minha irmã"

Mas por onde anda a sombra antiga
Do amargo astrônomo do Irã?

Por isso, deixo esta cantiga
- Tempo de mim, asa de abelha -
Na tua carne eterna e vã,
Rosa vermelha!

Para que vivas, porque és linda,
E conigo respire ainda
Omar Khayyam.
