by Karoline (or Caroline) Wilhelmine Leonhardt (1811 - 1899)

Geheimes
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es gibt verborg'ne Blüten,
von denen niemand weiß,
und manche süße Rose
tief unter Schnee und Eis.

Es lebt viel Leid und Wonne,
es kennt die Welt es nicht,
und viel geheime Liebe,
die nie zur Liebe spricht.

Gar mancher hat gekämpfet,
dem nie der Lorbeer blüht,
gar mancher ist ein Dichter,
singt auch kein Mund sein Lied.

Sich so Geheimes denken,
wie ist es mir so schön;
ich meine, Teure grüßen
in milder Lüfte Weh'n.
