Missmuth
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ach, ich weiss nicht, was ich bin!
Bin verstört in meinem Sinn,
Und mir ist das Herz so schwer,
Finde nirgends Ruhe mehr!

Mich hat Missmuth schier erfasst,
Treibt mich förder sonder Rast,
Jaget mich, trotz Sturm und Braus,
In die öde Nacht hinaus.

Übertäuben in dem Sturm
Will ich meines Busens Wurm,
Aber nein, des Sturmes Wuth
Facht nur mehr der Flamme Gluth.

Komm denn, traute Freundin, du!
Holde Laute, gib' mir Ruh'!
Wenn im Lied die Klage tönt,
Wird vielleicht der Sturm versöhnt.
