De længes igjen til Orangernes Hjem,

O, lad os, lad os flygte fra Land og By!
o, lad os, o lad os med Skyerne fly! ja fly!
med Straalerne fra den stigende Sol 
forlade vor nordlige Pol!

O hør, hvor det klinger, afsted, afsted!
med vor drømmende Sjæl gaa vi med!
Af Toner vi løftes, med Toner vi gaa,
og med dem vi Hesperien naa.
En gyngende, gyngende Phaeton, let og fin, 
den bærer os, den bærer, den bærer os Elskte min! 
og Phoebos Apollons vælige Spand 
os fører fra Land og til Land!
