Jezzund kömmt die Nacht herbei
Language: German (Deutsch)
Jezzund kömmt die Nacht herbei,
Vieh und Menschen werden frei,
Die gewünschte Ruh geht an;
Meine Sorge kommt heran.

Schöne glänzt der Mondenschein;
Und die gülden Sternelein;
Froh ist alles weit und breit,
Ich nur bin in Traurigkeit.

Zweene mangeln überall
An der schönen Sternen Zahl;
Diese Sterne die ich mein'
Ist der Liebsten Augenschein.

Nach dem Monden frag' ich nicht,
Dunkel ist der Sternen Licht;
Weil sich von mir weggewendt
Asteris mein Firmament.

Wann sich aber neigt zu mir
Dieser meiner Sonnen Zier,
Acht' ich es das beste sein,
Daß kein Stern noch Monde schein'.
