by Auguste Dorchain (1857 - 1930)

Les larmes
Language: French (Français)
Nous avons pleuré bien des pleurs,
Et ces larmes, comme un orage
Verse les épis ou les fleurs,
Ont abattu notre courage.

Alors, nous sentions dans la nuit
Des nuages lourds de colère . . .
Mais regarde: une étoile luit,
Une autre . . . tout s'éclaire . . .

Et pour notre coeur abattu,
Pour la fleur d'amour épuisée,
Les larmes de demain, vois-tu,
Seront des perles de rosée!
