Van girando per la testa mille torbidi pensieri, ah son pur funesti e neri, ah mi fanno delirar. Io delirar? Oh cielo! Se tu sei la cagion di tanto affanno, ti detesto per sempre, amor tiranno. Barbaro amore, son disperato, da mille furie sono agitato, mi sento un impeto dentro le vene... chi mi contrasta, chi mi trattiene? No, che di morte non ho timore, spiro vendetta, stragi e furore, voglio che rivi di sangue scorrano, vo’ fin la casa mandare in cenere; sì vo’ che tutti di me paventino, vadano, corrano, fuggano, volino, e fino l’Erebo farò tremar.
