by Giuseppe Palomba (flourished 1769-1825)

Piano un po', che fate... ohimè
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Piano un po', che fate... ohimè
un tantin pietà di me...
(Ah Notar ci se' inciampato
già ci sei cascato affé!)
Piano un po', or vi informo,
ed or vi prego un tantin
vi notifico e protesto
l'atto pubblico l'ho lesto
la mia supplica quest'è.

(gli fanno cenno che s'alzi, e parli)
Facciam or che Rachelina
sia un poder messo all'incanto
un t'accenna, un s'avvicina,
e ciascun ci vuò applicar;
quando suona la trombetta
offre lei padrone mio,
offre un altro, grido anch'io
offre tutta la città.
Cicisbei pericolanti,
desolati afflitti amanti
sia notaro, sia scrivente
sia dottore, sia student
quando siamo alla donnetta
tota scientia a monte va.
