Ihr Sterne habt so sanftes Licht Und blickt herab so klar, Und doch wie brennen die Augen Mich schmerzlich immerdar! Ich habe keine Thränen doch. Nur such; ich Nacht um Nacht Den Stern, auf den dein Engel Im Flug dich hingebracht. Ach! trocknen Auges such' ich dich und suche bald mich blind! Wo ist der Stern zu finden, So hold wie du mein Kind?
