Komm, mein Liebchen, tanz' mit mir, hörst du nicht die Polka klingen? Ja, recht gerne folg' ich dir, 's ist der Tänze Zier! Setze hübsch den Fuß hervor, und den Tönen leih' dein Ohr, auf und nieder, leicht und wieder kräftig tritt den Takt im Chor! Charmant, mein Kind; wär's nicht 'ne Sünd', wenn du, geniert, dich nicht gerührt, wenn du im Schritt nicht tanztest mit so hold und fein; bliebst gar allein. Fort, nur immer fort, nur weiter tanzt die Polka, tanzt sie heiter! Lustig froh, o blieb' es so! Tanzt die Polka, tanzt sie froh!
