Ich kenn' ein Plätzchen, o so sonnig, darin viel' Blumen hold und zart, vom Liebeshauch umweht so wonnig, vor jedem Ungemach bewahrt; das Plätzchen, ach, wohin ich fliehe, wohin ich trage Freud' und Schmerz, die Ruhestatt nach Angst und Mühe: Es ist dein Herz, dein treues Herz. Es ist ein Born, so silberhelle, er fließet im Verborg'nen leis', es duften Rosen um ihn helle, ihn überdacht ein Myrthenreis. Der Born, daraus ich gläubig trinke, daraus ich trinke Lust und Scherz, dass ich beseligt niedersinke: Es ist dein Herz, dein treues Herz. Ich kenn' ein Gotteshaus, so stille, erfüllt von Andacht wunderbar, es herrscht darin ein heil'ger Wille, es betet drin die Engelschar. Das Gotteshaus, dem ich so nahe, darin ich bete himmelwärts, dass sel'ger Friede mich umfahe: Es ist dein Herz, dein treues Herz.
