Abschied vom Walde
Language: German (Deutsch)
Lasst ein letztes Lied erklingen
durch des Waldes grüne Pracht!
Hört ihr nicht das Echo singen,
das von ferne lauschend wacht?
Muss es denn geschieden sein:
Gute Nacht, du stiller Hain!

Leise flüstert in den Zweigen
linder Abendwinde Hauch.
Alle Vögel ruh'n und schweigen,
unser Lied verklingt nun auch.
Traum von dir umfängt mich bald;
gute Nacht, du schöner Wald!

Hallend Echo uns'rer Lieder,
müde gehst auch du zur Ruh'!
Grüßen morgen wir dich wieder,
frisch und fröhlich dankst auch du.
Wald in junger Frühlingspracht,
grüne Heimat, gute Nacht!
