by Oscar II, King of Sweden (1829 - 1907), as Oscar Fredrik

Flaggan opp!
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Hissa flaggan, ärad utaf verlden;
Hissa den i högsta topp!
Sänken, lagerprydda hjeltar, svärden! –
Forntidsminnen, framtidshopp
Gå med svenska flaggan opp!

Ser du korset i den högblå barmen? –
Ärans guld på trohets grund,
Minnets löftesbud till kampa-armen,
Att den segra skall hvar stund,
Den står fast i Guds förbund.

Draketungor tre, hur djerft I sväfven,
Som en vikings strids-signal!
Skåden fritt, ifrån den höga stäfven,
Öfver hafvets blåa sal!
Tolken bragder utan tal!

Ärofulla minnen häfden fästat
Vid vårt »Märke» och dess vakt,
Då de båda fjerran kuster gästat,
Och om mången kufvad trakt
Tala, än i dag, med makt.
