Lied des Johannes
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ein' Rose tät' ich finden
auf grünem Bergeshang;
ihr wollt' ich mich verbinden
wohl gern mein Leben lang.
Sie stand verlassen und allein.
Du armes Röselein!

Ich trug sie tief im Herzen,
hab's ihr doch nie gesagt;
um sie erlitt ich Schmerzen,
hab's ihr doch nie geklagt.
Sie war für mich zu schön, zu fein.
Du armes Röselein!

In einer Nacht ist's worden,
dass sie zum Tod gemüsst;
da hat ein Wind aus Norden
sie rauh und frech geküsst.
Wohl hätt' es anders können sein.
Ach, armes Röselein!
