Sein Diener!
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Sein Diener! ei das lautet fein,
wenn heutzutage groß und klein
von ungefehr zusammen rennen,
und gleich von dienstbegierde brennen;
da bückt sich nicht der Kopf allein,
da kratzt nicht nur ein jedes Bein,
der angemasste Liebeschein
erfodert auch diss wort zu können:
sein Diener!

Sollt' ich der gleichen tun? nein, nein,
ich gehe keine Knechtschaft ein;
wem ich mich soll verbunden nennen,
muß erst mir seine Kundschaft gönnen;
wo nicht, so mag ein andrer sein
sein Diener.
