by Anton Wilhelm Florentin von Zuccalmaglio (1803 - 1869), as Wilhelm von Waldbrühl

Das Lied der Meise
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ist der Wind
doch verhallt,
weht es lind
durch den Wald;
da das Eis
all zerschmolz,
quillt das Reis
in dem Holz!

Schon zerfloss
hier der Schnee,
und es spross
rings der Klee;
d'rum gewinn'
ich den Dank
und beginn'
den Gesang.

Dem Herold,
fest geschmückt,
seid ihm hold,
er beglückt,
der von fern
kehrt nach Haus;
Lenz, den Herrn,
ruft er aus!
