Oft ist mir, als säh' ich wieder deiner Augen Licht, und wie Schimmer sinkt es nieder auf mein Angesicht. Und mir ist, als tönte leise deiner Stimme Klang, und in hold verklärter Weise wird sie zu Gesang, wird zu Worten, wird zu Tönen, schwebt empor und fliegt, bis mein Lied der Holden, Schönen froh zu Füßen liegt, bis es ihr mein Leid gesungen, meine heiße Sehnsucht auch, und beseligt ist verklungen wie ein leiser, leiser Hauch.
