Воздушная птичка, на окне у меня,
На мгновенье присела и запела звеня, —
Воздушная птичка не видала меня.

Закат запоздалый в облаках догорал,
Упоительно алый как небесный коралл, —
Забытый, усталый, я один умирал.

Но серая птичка, на раскрытом окне,
Всё воздушнее пела о негаснущем дне, —
О вечности светлой в неизвестной стране.

И тихо я умер, без печали земной,
И замолкшая птичка улетела со мной, —
Смутившись внезапно неземной тишиной.
