Schmückt das Haupt mit grünen Zweigen, Grüßt noch einmal dann die Flur, Denn zum Schlummer wird sich neigen Bald die wonnig rege Flur. Glühend sinkt die Sonne nieder, Strahlend einer schönern Welt; Nach der trauten Heimath wieder Zieh'n wir, brüderlich gesellt. Wollust athmend tranken Alle Frühlingsodem, Liebeslust, Und es klang in vollem Schalle Manches Lied aus voller Brust. Lebt d'rum wohl, ihr schönen Auen In dem gold'nen Abendschein, Ladet oft zu sel'gem Schauen Noch die trauten Freunde ein!
