by Hermann von Lingg (1820 - 1905)

Haideritt
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wie wüthend jagt im Wolkenflug
Durchs Haideland der Sturm,
Geängstigt fliegt der Dohlen Zug
Zum blitzerhellten Thurm.

Es flammt der Wald in grellem Schein,
Der Fels, die Schlucht erdröhnt,
Der Donner grollt und flucht darein,
vom Echo nachgehöhnt.

[Vor]1 Regen, der in Strömen fällt,
Beschützt mich und mein Roß
Die Tanne, die hier Wache hält
Am längst [verfallnen]2 Schloß.

Der Donner schweigt, ein Wehn erwacht —
Es ist, als [hauchest]3 du
Hin durch die [tiefe stille]4 Nacht
Ein Lebewohl mir zu!
