by Friedrich Heinrich Oser (1820 - 1891)

Das schönste Lied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wohl ist es süß, zu preisen
in auserles'nen Weisen
die Liebste hold und rein;
viel süßer doch, sich küssen,
sich durch die Augen grüßen
ins tiefe Herz hinein.

O stilles, sel'ges Zagen,
kein Lied vermag's zu sagen,
was durch das Herz dir zieht!
O Himmel allerorten,
dein' Lieb' ist selber worden
zum allerschönsten Lied.
