Geliebte Eltern! 's Jahr ist aus, g'hört schon ins alte Eisen. Ich möcht' so gern auf Urlaub z'Haus und hab' kein Geld zum Reisen. Bescher' euch Gott ein glücklich Jahr, so euch als mir zum Segen; er möge euch vor jeder G'fahr beschützen allerwegen. Ihr habt ja eurem lieben Sohn noch nie 'was abgeschlagen, d'rum schickt mir Geld, dann werd' ich schon euch Weit'res mündlich sagen.
