Kom med till dalen, der vår boning står,
der silfverbäcken mellan alar går!
Kom med till hemmet vid den lugna fjärd,
vår lilla verld!

Ty du har ledsnat, du så väl som jag,
vid dessa städers yppiga behag;
mer kärt du har än deras sus och dus
vårt trädgårdshus.

Jag längtar gå med dig i furuskog,
af granna gator ha vi allt fått nog.
Jag längtar bort från sqvallrets jemna gång
till trastens sång.

Jag längtar dit der trefna hyddan står;
der skall du få Linnæor i ditt hår,
der skall hvar afton, rodnande och blid,
oss skänka frid.

Der skall hvar morgon med sin friska vind
oss väcka sakta, smekande din kind,
och hviska: vakna, luften är så klar,
du unga par!
