by Per Daniel Amadeus Atterbom (1790 - 1855)

Zephirs Sång
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
J varelser kännen J glädjen?
En colibri flygtingen är;
Från blomma till blomma, i vexling,
Sitt smek och sin hyllning han bär.

I sprittande rörlighet flägtar
De skimrande vingarnes par;
Och blommornas läppar han kysser,
Men blott tills de hviska: "blif qvar!"

Då bort, efter friskare läppar,
Till främmande bygder han far:
"Hur lockande var han! Hvad skada,
Att ock så bedräglig han var!"

Så hör han de lemnade klaga;
I flygten han svarar de små:
"Ack! lefver jag tills jag blir gammal,
Nog blir jag då trogen också!"
