Hélas ! Plainte stérile, hélas ! Vœux superflus.
Rien ne peut empêcher le jour,
Rien ne peut empêcher la fuite des fées au premier rayon.
Tant d’êtres attendent sa venue
Soleil, astre cruel, parais, 
mais épargne la lande, hélas ! L’ombre s’enfuit.
Déjà ce monde mystérieux s’efface 
dans la lumière blafarde et maudite du jour.
