by Apel·les Mestres (1854 - 1936)

S'han acabat las espigas
Language: Catalan (Català)
S'han acabat las espigas
  y 'l sol es post,
no gronxarán mes las auras
  aquell blat ros,
¡ab quin afany lo segavan
  los segadors!
¡Ab quin afany feyan garbas
  cantant cansóns!
Lo blat es mort, vida meva,
  ¡lo blat es mort!

Rosellas y corretjolas
  segadas son,
¡adeu garlandas y toyas
  de mil colors!
No hi passejém per las planas
  tot es tristor;
la faus ha fet bona feyna...
  ¡Deu li perdó!
Lo blat es mort, vida meva,
  ¡lo blat es mort!

La faus ha fet bona feyna
  tot es rostoll;
l'oreig pel camp s' arrossega
  sense cansóns.
No hi torném mes á las planas
  fins al any nou;
las garbas enfeixinadas
  glassan lo cor.
Lo blat es mort, vida meva,
  ¡lo blat es mort!
