by Eugène Rostand (1843 - 1915)

La saison des Roses
Language: French (Français)
Voici la saison,
La saison des roses ;
L’âme a sa chanson
De divines choses,
L’âme a sa chanson
Et sa floraison,
Elle aussi, elle aussi de roses !

Tout souci se noie
Dans la fraîche odeur ;
Une jeune joie
Monte dans mon cœur
Du cœur de la fleur
Qu’un vent d’Avril, d’Avril ploie.

La sève est nouvelle
En moi comme tout,
Ma belle est plus belle,
Son rire est plus doux !
A ses rendez-vous
Avril nous appelle.
