Friede Gottes
Language: German (Deutsch)
Milder im Herzen,
sanfter im Liede
tönt kein Entzücken,
strömet kein Leben,
als dein Erquicken,
himmlischer Friede!

Einzelnen Wohllaut,
einzelne Wonne
gibt uns der Felder
liebliches Antlitz,
Höhen und Wälder,
Frühling und Sonne.

Sei er gepriesen,
der's uns beschieden!
Aber noch tränet
suchend das Auge,
ach, es ersehnet
himmlischen Frieden!

Selige Herzen,
die ihn gefunden!
Sieh, bei dem teuer'n
gütigen Heiland
dürfen sie feiern
selige Stunden.
