by Boris Nikolayevich Timofeyev-Yeropkin (1899 - 1963)

`Ej, drug gitara!
Language: Russian (Русский)
V zhizni vse neverno i kaprizno,
Dni begut, nikto ikh ne vernet.
 Nynche prazdnik, zavtra budet trizna,
 Nezametno starost' podojdjot.

   `Ej, drug gitara,
   Chto zvenish' nesmelo,
Jeschjo ne vremja plakat' nado mnoj, -
   Pust' zhizn' proshla, vse proletelo,
Ostalas' pesnja, pesnja v chas nochnoj!

 `Eti kudri derzko zolotye,
 Da uvjali v beloj sedine,
 Vspominat' te gody molodye
 Budem my s toboj najedine.

   `Ej, drug gitara, itd.

Gde ty, junost', bez konca bez kraja,
 Otchego tak bystro proneslas',
 Neuzheli, skoro umiraja,
Mne pridjotsja spet' v poslednij raz:

   `Ej, drug gitara, itd.
