by August Corrodi (1826 - 1885)

Alter Klang
Language: German (Deutsch)
Nun ist der Winter kommen,
der Sommer hat ein End';
ade, ade, Treuliebste mein,
von dir ich mich nun wend'.

Die Vöglein sind verflogen,
die Heid' ist blumenleer;
ade, ade, Treuliebste mein,
mach' mir mein Herz nit schwer.

Der Schnee fällt auf die Tannen,
die Lieb' ist stumm und still;
ade, ade, Treuliebste mein,
weiß wohl, wohin ich will.

Confirmed with Karl Weller (Hrsg.), Dichterstimmen der Gegenwart, Leipzig, 1856.

Note: Sczadrowsky's score has the typo "Summer" instead of "Sommer" (stanza 1, line 2)
