Cojo jazmín y clavel
Language: Spanish (Español)
Cojo jazmín y clavel
y al hacerlo pienso en él.
Claveles de color fuego
que la mañana me trajo,
a él os envío de mensajeros
de este ardor que me consume.

Y vosotras, florecillas blancas,
saludadle con vuestros dulces aromas,
decidle que pálida estoy de nostalgia,
que a él espero entre lágrimas.
Cojo jazmín y clavel
y al hacerlo pienso en él.

Mil florecillas cubiertas de rocío
encuentro despiertas de nuevo en el valle;
todas acaban de brotar hoy mismo,
pero todo su esplendor fenece
cuando sonríe otra mañana.
¿Dime, jazmín perfumado,
decidme, claveles de fuego,
puede el amor marchitarse también tan pronto?
¡Ay, mi corazón piensa en él!
