Ich sah eben ein jugendlich Paar, o Blume Dianas,
Vor dir stehen; es war Wange an Wange gelegt.
Beide sie schlürften zugleich den unnennbaren Duft aus dem weiten,
Schneeigen Becher und leis hört ich ein doppeltes Ach!
"Küsse mich!" sagte sie jetzt, und mitten im Strome des Nektars
Atmend wechselten sie Küsse, begeisterten Blicks.
- Zürn, o Himmlische, nicht! Du hast fürwahr zu den Gaben
Irdischer Liebe den Hauch göttlicher Schöne gemischt.
