by Paul Gerhardt (1606 - 1676)

Fangt euer Tagwerk fröhlich an
Language: German (Deutsch)
Fangt euer Tagwerk fröhlich an,
so wird's gar bald sein wohlgetan
und preiset Gott, den Herren!

Ich singe Dir mit Herz und Mund,
Herr, meines Lebens Lust,
ich sing und mach auf Erden kund,
was mir von Dir bewusst.

Wohlauf, mein Herze, sing und spring
Und habe guten Mut!
Dein Gott, der Ursprung aller Ding,
ist selbst und bleibt dein Gut!
