Country folk
Language: English
Oh, country folk lead quiet days, And country folk have homely ways, But when I’m tired of the city din, By country folk I’ll be welcomed in. Streets are fine with the lamps alight And the country roads are still at night, But when the lights and laughter tire I’ll sit and dream by a country fire. Oh country folk are slow of tongue, But country hearts are warm and young, And when at home I long to be My country folk will welcome me. Streets are fine with the lamps alight And the country roads are still at night, But when the lights and laughter tire I’ll sit and dream by my own home fire.
