by Gustav Falke (1853 - 1916)

Abendlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Hat der junge Geigenmacher
Mit dem Tagwerk aufgeräumt,
Sitzt er gern, ein seligwacher,
Auf der Lindenbank und träumt.

Auf der schönsten seiner Geigen
Träumt er einen Herzenstraum,
Vollmond steigt und Sterne steigen,
Silbern steht der Blütenbaum.

Wie die weichen Töne singen,
Wird es stiller, als es war,
Und die Gartenlilien bringen
Alle ihre Düfte dar.

Nicht ein Hauch aus Wälderfernen,
Nicht ein Laut fällt störend ein,
Über Blumen, unter Sternen,
Klingt das süße Lied allein.
