by (Karl) Wilhelm Osterwald (1820 - 1887)

Aufbruch
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Lüfte werden heller,
   Die schwarzen Wolken fliehn,
Mein Herz schlägt schnell und schneller,
   Möchte von hinnen ziehn.

Hinaus in die weite, freie,
   Die freie, weite Welt,
Dort, wo der grüne Maie
   Sein schönstes Lager hält.

Wer giebt mir das Geleite?
   Der linde West soll's sein
Der weiß wohin ich schreite,
   Doch weiß er's nicht allein

Noch Eine weiß es, noch Eine,
   O Frühlingslüfte weht,
Wandelt die Welt zum Raine,
Auf dem's zu der Liebsten geht.
