Vom Himmel her in Flammen zurük, das Haupt
Der Lästerer zu treffen und riefst dem Sturm;
Dass er die Asche der Barbaren
Fort aus der Erd', aus der Heimath werfe!

Doch die du lebend liebtest, die dich empfieng,
Den Sterbenden, die heil'ge Natur vergisst
Der Menschen Thun and deine Feinde
Kehrten, wie du, in den alten Frieden.
