Verlangen

Over de heide te zwerven , een looper,
die dwalen bemint,
herfstnamiddag, de lucht als rood -koper
en bijna geen wind.

Over de heide, de Veluwsche heide,
wereld -ver gaan ,
' t rood te zien blinken, ' t spreng-klare blijde
lied te verstaan .

Over de heide huiswaarts te tijgen ,
als ' t avondvuur brandt,
en te verlangen in ' t heilig - stil zwijgen
druk van een hand.
