by Johann Nepomuk Vogl (1802 - 1866)

Morgen wieder
Language: German (Deutsch)
Morgen wieder, morgen wieder,
Lieber Wald!
Muß nun zu dem Thale nieder,
Abendglocke schallt.

Vöglein hüllt in Laub und Dunkel
Dicht sich ein.
Und dem bleichen Sterngefunkel
Weicht der Sonne Schein.

Flüstert da nicht Baum und Flieder,
Strauch und Rohr? ---
»Morgen wieder, morgen wieder!«
Hallt es an mein Ohr.

Hab' voll sel'ger Lust gelegen
In dem Grün,
Sah um mich den reichen Segen,
Sah dein herrlich Blüh'n.

Schlürfte deine frische Kühle,
Waldesluft.
Lag auf deinem weichen Pfühle
Zwischen Sang und Duft.

Ach, wie enden Lust und Lieder
Gar so bald;
Aber morgen, morgen wieder,
Lieber, lieber Wald!
