Sonntag und Montag

Heute ist Sonntag und Montag ist morgen:
heute giebt's Freuden und morgen giebt's Sorgen.
Tanzet und singet und freuet euch heut,
daß euch am Montag der Sonntag nicht reut.

Lustig ihr Bursche! nehm' Jeder sein Mädchen;
nimm du die Lisel, ich nehme mein Gretchen;
heute giebt willig das Liebchen den Kuß,
den man am Montage stehlen ihr muß.

Schwinget das Glas! glüth's auch oben im Stübchen,
scheint euch noch einmal so lieblich das Liebchen.
Tanzet und singet und freuet euch heut,
daß euch am Montag der Sonntag nicht reut.
