by Friedrich Heinrich Oser (1820 - 1891)

Novembersonnenblick
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Berge stehn so dunkelschwarz,
Als wie in tiefer Trauer;
Die Büsche zittern vor dem Wind,
Als wie in Fieberschauer.

Da bricht mit Müh' ein letzter Strahl
Durch eine Wolkenschichte;
In weiter Fern' ein Gipfel noch
Erglänzt in hellem Lichte.

Und tröstend flüstert's aus dem Strauch
Hinein in meine Klage:
Nie fehlt, o nie ein Sonnenblick
Dem allertrübsten Tage!

Und wär's ein noch so matter Strahl,
Dein Leid mag er zerstreuen;
Gar wenig braucht's, um himmelhoch
Den Armen zu erfreuen!

Confirmed with Liederbuch von Friedrich Oser, 1842-1874. Mit einem biographischen Verzeichnis der Componisten, Basel: Benno Schwabe, Verlagsbuchhandlung, 1875, pages 137-138.
