Es sprang der gold'ne Ring. Mädchenlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es sprang der goldne Ring,
mein Finger ist nun leer,
mir macht das kleine Ding
mein armes Herz so schwer!

Er war auch gar so lieb,
der kleine Ring von Haar,
der um den Finger blieb,
bis er gesprungen war;

noch lieber war der Mann,
der zärtlich mich umfing,
als er mir diesen Ring
an meinen Finger hing.

Nun ist das längst vorbei,
er liebet mich nicht mehr,
drum sprang der Ring entzwei,
drum ist das Herz so schwer!
