Aus bunten, wirren Träumen erwacht' ich diese Nacht, da hab' ich deinem Bilde einen leisen Gruss gebracht! Der Mond aus trüben Wolken warf matten, bleichen Schein, deine klaren, treuen Augen drangen tief in's Herz mir hinein! Ein namenloses Heimweh ist stumm in mir erwacht und drüben auf dunklem Walde schwebte langsam die Mitternacht.
