Hedens sang
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Der går om heden en vise god,
når solen stiger i østen,
og lyngen luer som ild og blod,
mens skoven lakker mod høsten.

Kærulden væver den lange dag
i mosen sit lin det hvide,
og snog og hugorm med tyste slag
lindt under lyngtoppe glide.

Højt jamrer hjejlen og lærken slår
og viben hun vipper på tue;
krumrygget bondemand stille går
ud af sin hedebostue.
