accender alma fredda e canuta?
esser amata amante!
stolta se crede il livido sembiante
nel bel regno d'amor ornar di palme.

Perdute 'l mar del sen le belle calme
farassi un core per solcarlo avante
bianco crin occhio lippo e piè tremante
legar strugger fermar porta le salme.

Fuggonsi i volti da l'Etate oppressi
né sia giammai (se di sé non è fuori)
che a cadente edificio alcun s'appressi.

Forsennata ch'ella è col crin senz' ori
crede baci comprar con rughe amplessi
e al sepolcro vicin pensa a gl'amori.
