by Oskar Wiener (1873 - 1944)

Wolkenliedchen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Pausbäckig sind die Engelein,
Ihr Kleid ist eitel Seide;
Mit einem Liljenstängelein
So treiben sie die Schäfchen ein,
Husch  --  auf der Himmelsheide.

Die große Wolke dort am Rand
Trägt stolz ihr rotes Bändchen;
Der liebe Gott hat sie ernannt
Zum Leit-Bähbäh, denn an Verstand
Hat sie ein ganzes Endchen.

Die andern Wölkchen aber sind
So dumm wie kleine Mädchen;
Ich kenne nur ein einzig Kind,
Das ich um vieles klüger sind --
Mein Herzensmargaretchen.

Confirmed with Oskar Wiener, Gedichte, Berlin: Schuster & Loeffler, 1899, page 42. Appears in Kleine Lieder.
